In 2021, Alfred Thomas Property began renovating this 4 bed, 3 storey mid terrace property on behalf of a private investor.
Although the property, located in the heart of Blackburn, was generous in size, the initial layout we were presented with wouldn’t allow maximum return on investment for the investor. The interior was dilapidated and there were some areas of damp, due to the property having not been inhabited for some time.
Based on this we went back to brick, and renovated the property from floor to ceiling internally, resulting in a 6 bedroom property with 2 bathrooms. This allowed the investor to turn the property into an HMO which he subsequently leased to a social housing provider.
This property generated a fruitful 31% return on investment for our investor.
